At present the Sevmorgeo company is one of major research institutions conducting investigations in the ocean, continental shelf and on shore. Existing facilities, methodology and excellent expertise of Sevmorgeo engineers allow the company to perform complex engineering surveys during the pre-design and project stages for various oil producing facilities and services.

All this work is supported by field express-identification of the ground properties (density, moisture content, consistency, strength, etc.); to this end are used the state-of-art devices such as moisture counter of the infrared drying device МА-30 (the time of sample drying doesn’t exceed 30-40 min.), weight-scale assembly that works reliably in rough sea and high vibration conditions, a set of laboratory cones and impellers. Special tools are widely used for study of adhesiveness, stickiness, angle of repose, sands, etc.

For investigation of physical and mechanical properties of bottom deposits are used installations UGI and UGI-M.
