Engineering and geological surveys of a wide range of sand and clay sections are performed by the geotechnical multi-purpose rig IG-shelf that allows performance of comprehensive testing, standards CPT (TC-16), including head resistance on the cone, lateral resistance on the frictino coupling, dynamic pore pressure, hole distortion to the depth of up to 8 m with sea depth of up to 500 m. Supplemented to the assembly can be a thermometer and a sensor for the ground electric conductivity. The installation was developed by Sevmorgeo; it is equipped with Geotech AB measuring systems (Geotech AB, Sweden) and is in full compliance with international standards which makes it possible to observe British Standard requirements BS-1377 towards grounds as well as АSTM D422 and EU ISO 9000 requirements.
